My first venture into kids and teens fashion was born from a passion for sustainability and creativity. I embraced upcycling as my core process, collecting clothing from my three daughters, their friends, and even pieces from Goodwill to repurpose and transform them into something entirely new. Upcycling, as defined by UpcycleThat.com, is “the act of taking something no longer in use and giving it a second life and new function. In doing so, the finished product often becomes more practical, valuable, and beautiful than what it previously was.”

This philosophy aligns perfectly with my belief in kintsugi, the Japanese art of embracing flaws and imperfections, and my mission to encourage girls to celebrate their uniqueness. Through these designs, I wanted to reinforce the idea that imperfection is beautiful—just as every girl is uniquely beautiful in her own way.

Our mantra, "Perfect girls are never real, and real girls are never perfect," became the heart of this project. It’s a reminder for girls to embrace their individuality and imperfections with pride, knowing that their authenticity is what truly makes them shine. This collection wasn’t just about fashion—it was about creating pieces with meaning, purpose, and a message of self-love.
