About Me

I am a creative and sensitive individual with a spiritual mindset. My interests lie in creating and designing, practicing meditation, running, spending time with my family, traveling, engaging in social responsibility projects, and personal growth.

I began my educational journey at Colegio Anglo Colombiano an IB British School in Bogotá, Colombia, where I studied for 14 years. Seeking to pursue my passion for design, I initially attended Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Georgia before transferring to La Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, where I graduated with a degree in Industrial Design.

After completing my studies, I worked in advertising at John & Rubicam, specifically in the BTL design group. In this role, I was involved in designing events, developing communication strategies, creating fashion designs, and designing publicity stands. I later ventured into entrepreneurship with my own handbag design business. As life progressed, I became a mother to three beautiful girls and worked in my family’s Real Estate Development company, QBO Constructores SAS, as a design manager, focusing on interior design. My responsibilities included designing and planning office layouts, as well as designing homes, country houses, and student housing dorms.

During the pandemic, I embarked on another entrepreneurial endeavor targeted at kids and parents. I created hoodies and activity kits for kids to enjoy at home during these challenging times. This venture was known as @kidskits2020.

In 2022, my family and I relocated to Miami, where I pursued VP fashion design and styling programs at Istituto Marangoni Miami. During this time, I created a woman’s collection inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi. The garments were tailored in a minimalist Japanese style and hand-painted with golden lacquer, symbolizing the beauty in imperfections. This collection was chosen to showcase at several prestigious events:

  • Palm Springs Fashion Week in California (March 15-21, 2024): I showcased my entire collection.

  • Metamorfosi Fashion Show at Miami Design District (May 16, 2024): Featured my designs and styling.

  • Argentina Fashion Week at Hipódromo de Palermo (August 28, 2024): Presented my collection.

  • The Underline Sneaker Ball at Brickell City Center (September 28, 2024): Showcased my collection and styling.

Additionally, I worked as the editor-in-chief of SAUDADE Magazine, which celebrates Latin American fashion and culture by challenging stereotypes and highlighting influential figures. The magazine combines sophisticated design with provocative storytelling, offering a fresh perspective that merges luxury with authenticity and cultural pride. I also created an editorial called “Unmasking True Beauty,” exploring the transformative nature of beauty through self-love and cultural fusion. Drawing inspiration from Japanese aesthetics and Western fashion, this editorial challenges traditional beauty norms.

Currently, I'm building Candy for the Soul, a conscious fashion brand for kids and teens that combines style with positivity and empowerment. Our mission is to inspire young minds through vibrant clothing and collectible charms that promote self-growth, embracing uniqueness, and accepting oneself and others. We believe that positive affirmations and self-reflection from a young age can shape a child's mindset, helping them grow into confident, compassionate individuals. At Candy for the Soul, we're not just a fashion brand; we're a community that celebrates creativity, diversity, and self-expression. We're committed to sustainability and ethical practices, ensuring our fashion is cool, modern, and kind to the planet. Join us on this joyful journey of self-discovery and growth.
